🍂 Hey Neighbor Fall Camp Summary
September will be bursting with nature-infused creativity and hands-on learning as we gather weekly to explore seasonal sustainability and artful preservation.
🧄 Sept 3 – Preservation & Dehydrating
Campers learned techniques to dry, dehydrate, and overwinter fall harvests. We will try our hands at crafting colorful soup mixes featuring herbs, carrots, onions, and beans—doubling as both a preservation project and an artistic expression.🌸 Sept 10 – Fall Planting & Pollinators
With spring pollinators in mind, participants will plant bulbs. You will decorate cardboard containers with decoupaged flowers and reused materials—turning gardening into eco-friendly art.🌱 Sept 17 – Seed Saving & Art
Seeds from veggies and flowers will be gathered and prepared for storage. We will guide a thoughtful discussion on cross-pollination, capped off with a vibrant seed art activity.🌿 Sept 24 – Herbal Preservation & DIY Crafts
Returning to herb preservation, campers will create aromatic sachets and dryer pillows using herbs dried earlier in the month—blending wellness with creativity.
Bring your friends and your curiosity—because Farm Day Camp is where learning meets laughter and the garden meets art. 🌼 Let's grow something amazing together!
*We will be outdoors or within a large workshop space, but want to be as accommodating as we can for everyone. If you have any questions or concerns please don’t hesitate to email heyneighborfarm@gmail.com or call (262) 930-9192.
